It was also the place where Richard the Lionheart was crowned Duke of Normandy and Joan of Arc was burnt at the stake. Much of Rouen was sadly destroyed in World War II, however the city has been faithfully restored, including the exquisite Old Town. Honfleur is a colourful port city on the edge of the English Channel.
