Your first stop is La Roche-Guyon, beautifully situated on a bend in the Seine beneath dramatic chalk cliffs. Its impressive château and peaceful setting make this small town an enchanting introduction to the region. From here, continue to Rouen, where an extended stay gives you time to discover Normandy’s historic capital. Half-timbered houses, atmospheric medieval streets and the magnificent Notre-Dame Cathedral characterise its historic centre, while the story of Joan of Arc remains closely connected with the city. In the evening, the cruise continues via Duclair towards the coast.

On Day 4, you arrive in Le Havre near the mouth of the Seine. This important port reveals a different side of Normandy, combining a distinctly maritime atmosphere with striking modern architecture. Reconstructed under the direction of Auguste Perret after the Second World War, the city centre is now recognised as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Leaving Le Havre behind, your ship turns upstream once more and returns to the beautiful landscapes of the Seine Valley.

Les Andelys provides one of the most memorable settings of the cruise. Above the river stand the imposing ruins of Château Gaillard, the medieval stronghold built by Richard the Lionheart. A further call at Vernon is followed by Conflans, located at the confluence of the Oise and Seine and known for its long association with inland navigation.

On the sixth day, the cruise returns to Paris, leaving generous time to enjoy the French capital before your journey comes to an end. With more than 170,000 residents, Le Havre is the most vibrant city in Normandy. Located directly on the English Channel, this metropolis lies in northwestern France. Thanks to the work of architect Auguste Perret, the city center was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site for its unique architecture. Les Andelys is a municipality in France located in the Normandy region. The town is divided into a larger and a smaller part (Le Petit Andely and Le Grand Andely). The smaller part lies directly on the Seine. The region’s northern character is also reflected in the town’s architecture. This is evident, for example, in the 13th-century Notre-Dame Cathedral. The Tolysland amusement park is popular with visitors of all ages.

Vernon lies halfway between Paris and Rouen. Countless half-timbered houses characterize the townscape.
