This six-day journey explores the fascinating world of the Venetian Lagoon, combining the incomparable atmosphere of Venice with the maritime character of Chioggia and the peaceful island setting of Mazzorbo. Magnificent art and architecture, centuries-old traditions and everyday life by the water come together to create a varied journey through one of Italy’s most distinctive regions.

Your journey begins in Venice. From San Basilio, the ship moves to Riva dei Sette Martiri on the first evening, providing an excellent starting point for discovering the historic lagoon city. Around St Mark’s Square, some of Italy’s most celebrated landmarks await: magnificent St Mark’s Basilica, the imposing Doge’s Palace and the Campanile recall the splendour of the former Venetian Republic. A journey along the Grand Canal reveals constantly changing views of historic palaces and churches, while the Rialto Bridge remains one of the city’s most recognisable landmarks. Yet a quieter Venice can also be discovered among narrow lanes, intimate squares and traditional bacari.

On Day 2, the journey continues to Chioggia at the southern edge of the lagoon. This historic fishing town is crossed by canals and characterised by bridges, old buildings and lively squares. Chioggia has a distinctive, down-to-earth atmosphere and remains closely connected with the sea and its fishing traditions. The extended stay gives you plenty of time to explore the town and experience its authentic local character.

The journey then continues to Mazzorbo. With gardens, vineyards and a relaxed atmosphere, this small green island provides a delightful contrast to both Venice and Chioggia. A footbridge connects Mazzorbo directly with neighbouring Burano. Famous for its brightly coloured houses and centuries-old lace-making tradition, Burano is one of the most distinctive islands in the lagoon.

On Day 5, you return to Venice. Before the journey ends, there is more time for art and culture, culinary discoveries or a leisurely walk beside the canals. Combining world-famous Venice with two very different sides of lagoon life, this itinerary offers an immersive experience of the region’s history, landscapes and traditions.

Your journey begins in Venice. From San Basilio, the ship moves to Riva dei Sette Martiri on the first evening, providing an excellent starting point for discovering the historic lagoon city.
